Are services at HH Wellness covered under my Insurance plan?
The care at HH Wellness may be non-traditional or unconventional. Such services are commonly referred to as complementary or alternative or holistic medicine, or innovative services. Many of these services may not be recognized as standard medical practices, and may be considered investigational or experimental. Medications prescribed may be approved by the FDA for a different condition than that for which it is prescribed for me. HH Wellness does not participate with any Insurance plans and is a Fee For Service business.
The Services are Not Primary Care:
HH Wellness is not acting as my primary care physician rather they may address issues affecting my general health, the practice is focused on a complementary, holistic approach to care and it is in your best interest to also have a primary care physician to ensure that you are fully appraised of all available conventional means to address any medical conditions you may have. This is also important because this practice is exclusively office-based and not affiliated with a hospital. If you become ill and require hospitalization, it is vital that you have a primary care physician with hospital admitting privileges familiar with your health problems and history. In addition to a primary care physician, it may be in your best interest to have appropriate specialists, such as a cardiologist if you have a cardiac problems or a pediatrician if you am seeking treatment for your children.
A Naturopath/homeopath is not a medical doctor. If you believe that you have a condition that requires medical care, you should consult a medical doctor. During the course of treatment HH Wellness may see evidence of a condition that should be diagnosed and treated by a medical physician and necessary referrals will be made. Such a condition based upon your informed choice may be treated by a medical physician, by the physician in collaboration with HH Wellness, or by HH Wellness and/or other alternative care providers.
